As the shadows deepen and the stars appear in the heavens, we bid farewell to Shabbat, our cherished guest. With the glow of a braided candle, the sweet fragrance of spices and a taste of wine, we mark the end of this special day in our week, an island of tranquillity in an ocean of time and toil. With our bodies refreshed and our spirits lifted, we hope that the coming week will be one of accomplishment as we seek to build a better world expressed by the warmth and peacefulness of Shabbat.
