The IMUN Program is a popular and exciting seminar-retreat
program designed for training lay people in religious
leadership skills for use in congregations affiliated
with The United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism.
Participants join in an intensive program offering
lectures, workshops, and practical exercises, which
enhance their synagogue religious skills. Classes
are offered for basic and advanced skills.
The nine-day program is held every summer at
Camp Ramah in the Berkshires.
Register for the IMUN 2009 Lay Religious Leadership
Training Program. The program will be held Sunday,
July 12 to Monday, July 20, 2009, at Camp Ramah in
the Berkshires, Wingdale, NY. The IMUN PROGRAM is
an exciting Study Institute - Retreat. IMUN is a
challenging and exhilarating skillstraining experience.
Guided by knowledgeable professionals, IMUN participants
gain or enhance mastery of all these skills which
allows them to take a more active role in congregations
back at home.
Take some time, in a retreat setting, to pursue studying:
•Reading the Torah
•Chanting a haftarah
•Leading Shabbat services
•Conducting a weekday service
•Preparing/delivering a d’var Torah
•Serving as gabbai
Cost: $985 this covers
