Our congregation warmly welcomes Jews from all backgrounds and
levels of observance. Singles, families, "empty nesters",
retirees, born Jews, Jews-by-choice, and intermarried couples will
all find members of our synagogue waiting to help you feel at home.
Whether you are new to town or you have lived here for some time,
we are glad that you are ready to become involved with our vibrant
Jewish community. Beth David members feel that we have something
very special to our members.
Our congregation truly enjoys learning and davening together.
We are a Conservative shul that offers traditional davening within
an egalitarian framework. Our own lives have been enriched by attending
services, participating in numerous social and cultural activities
and learning Torah together.
In our Friday and Saturday services and daily minyans we
study the texts that have enlightened Jews for centuries. In our
Beit Midrash (adult education) we explore basic Judaism,
the Hebrew language, Talmud, Bible, Jewish philosophy, modern literature,
the arts and other ways by which we express ourselves as Jews.
Our family education program brings us together to learn how to
celebrate holidays more fully. We offer a wonderful religious school,
a Hebrew high school, and Kadima to ensure an active learning and
social environment for our kids. Our active Men's Club and Sisterhood
provide a framework to become involved in our shul. Vatikim,
our seniors group, gets together weekly for lunch and a program.
A parent/toddler play group also meets once a week for a play date.
If you are interested in finding out more about joining us (and
we hope you are!) please contact us for information. We will be
happy to forward you a brochure, an application and dues sheet,
or answer any questions you might have regarding our congregation.
Dues are very reasonable, and no one is ever turned away for financial
reasons. First year dues for new members are $180.00.
We look forward to hearing from you. Please call and let
us know how we can help you with your move if you are new to Greensboro,
or to learn more about our congregation if you have recently decided
to become more active in our Jewish community.
