Religious
School
The
Religious School at Mishkon Tephilo offers a comprehensive, integrated
curriculum in Jewish studies and Hebrew for children in kindergarten
through grade 7.
Because
our classes are small, every student receives personal attention
and the level of students’ accomplishment is high—and
students like religious school at Mishkon! Our class schedule for
5763 / 2002–2003 is as follows:
- Kindergarten,
Grade 1, Grade 2: Sundays, 9:30 a.m.–noon. The first day
of Sunday classes is October 6.
- Grades
3–6: Thursdays, 4:00–6:00 p.m., and Sundays, 9:30
a.m.–noon. The first day of Thursday classes is September
19.
- Grade
7: Tuesdays, 4:00–6:00 p.m. The first day of Tuesday classes
is September 24. B'nai mitzvah families also have a class with
Rabbi Dan, where the young people and their parents learn together.
Students
in grades 8–12 are eligible to enroll in the Los
Angeles Hebrew High School.
We
have Family Services for young
children on the second Friday evening of most months, and for families
with children in grades 3–7 on Shabbat mornings about once
a month during the school year. Our family services on Shabbat morning
(instead of “junior congregation” for just the students
—we encourage parents to participate fully) include family
education programs.
