OCTOBER 2002 ISSUE
CBI Child Development Center
Lisa Heller- Director
Co-VPs Helene Saulten and Grace Fern

Celebrating Rosh Hashana with the children is one of my favorite activities at our school. Apples and honey are so sweet and nourishing. They help usher in the New Year with hope that the year ahead will be pleasant and fulfilling.
Rabbi Spitz and Cantor Tilchin have met with the children to talk about the holidays. Rabbi blew the shofar and Cantor sang a special song. The older children made beautiful round challah covers with apples printed all over them.

Attention Teachers and Parents! - Parents' Night
On Wednesday, October 9 from 7:00 to 9:00 join us again for "Finding the Passion in Our Children," an evening with Tom Hunter, nationally renowned minstrel. This is sure to be a wonderful evening with Tom. You will love his inspirational stories of life that will tickle and touch your heart.
Thank you to one of our very generous pre-school families. We now have a fantastic super cycle merry-go-round! It is the biggest hit on the playground!
The CDC is very fortunate to have so many generous donors. Most of the yard and large indoor equipment has been purchased from donations. The children of the CDC thank every one of you who have been so generous these past 6 years.
