Congregation B'nai Israel Child Development Center
The Congregation B'nai Israel Child Development Center offers
infant, toddler, and preschool programs in a warm Jewish environment
for children age six weeks to six years. Each program includes
age-appropriate activities (both teacher-initiated and child-directed)
with an emphasis on Jewish religion and culture, including holiday
celebrations.
Our Philosophy
The Cbi Child Development Center, founded in 1995, strives to enhance your
child's learning and growth experiences. The Center emphasizes both
Child-directed and teacher-initiated activities and has created developmentally
appropriate curriculums for each age group. We promote a caring, nurturing
environment where jewish values and observance are an integral part of the
overall educational program.
Our Curriculum
The Center has crafted a curriculum that integrates a wide range of skills for your child. Our programs:
- Encourage curiousity and the need to explore new things.
- Develop and expand the creative imagination
- Foster artistic and musical expression
- Stimulate interest and understanding of the world around them.
- Celebrate jewish heritage, holidays and rituals
- Introduce the foundation for academic concepts
- Incorporate "play" - important for social, emotional and physical growth.
Our Team Approach
The Center is successful because of the collaboration amongst our teachers, parents and the congregation.
The Staff consissts of a full-time Director with more than 20 years of experience, an Assistant Director and both full and part-time teachers. The staff, comprised of well-trained Early Childhood Educators, work as a team to provide consistent and individualized care of your child.
Parents play an important role at the Center. They work with the staff to ensure that their child's specific needs are being met. Parents alsohelp plan, prepare for and attend the school's holiday celebrations.
Congregation B'nai Israel also lends strong support to the Center. The synagogue, which was founded in 1980, has a growing membership of 450 families. Rabbi Elie Spitz, along with the congregation, are deeply committed to fostering a place where our children can flourish.
