Course Title: Philosophy and Judaism
Instructor: Dr. Ibi Winterman
Course Description: This course focuses on the answers Judaism gives to philosphical questions such as: Why should one be moral? What is piety? What is human being? The class format is open discussions based on materials provided by the instructor.

Course Title: How to Read the Bible
Instructor: Ahuva Ho
Course Description: This course exposes students to scholarly methods of reading and understanding the Hebrew Bible through literary analysis with the help of alternative translations. Materials will be provided by the instructor.

Course Title: Zionism, Eretz Yisrael and Jerusalem: What is the Relations?
Instructor: Moshe Ettinger, David Cohen, Haya Duhl
Course Description: Each session of this course covers a different aspect of Zionism's development, beginning with the historical events in Europe that led to the awakening of the Zionist dream. Subsequent sessions will address the main ideas and trends within the Zionist movement, the major personalities involved and the implementation of the Zionist program in the Land of Israel. Materials will be provided by the instructor.

Course Title: Living Judaism: A Guided Tour
Instructor: Rabbi Elie Spitz and Cantor Marcia Tilchin
Course Description: A survey of Judaism for Jews who never went to Hebrew school or wish they hadn't; for people with Jewish ancestry who want to explore their Jewish heritage; for intermarried couples raising a Jewish child; for those considering conversion to Judaism.

Course Title: Beginning Hebrew Reading
Instructor: Cantor Tilchin
Course Description: This course offers a basic intorduction to the hebrew language, its alphabet and pronunication, with simple vocabulary. Materials will be provided by the instructor or available for purchase at the Sisterhood Gift Shop.

Course Title: Conversation Hebrew

Course Title: Torah Trope
Instructor: Bruce Shapiro
Course Description: Students in this course learn the basic skills needed to read Torah during weekly Shabbat services. Class size is limited to 10 new enrollees plus returning students. Materials, including a Tikkun, will be provided by the instructor.
