The Beth El chapter of United Synagogue Youth (or U.S.Y.) is a distinct tribe which works together to raise the children of Beth El, and our community. It is a group with members in the 4th through 12th grade, supported by a Youth Director and Asst. Director. These students are separated into three different groups:

1. Kadima - - 4th - 6th grade; Creative out and about programming 1-2 times per month.  From road trips to ice skating to amusement parks we’ve got it all!

2. Junior U.S.Y - - 7th & 8th grade; lounge night with various themes take place monthly.  Our events are geared toward projects to make the world around us a better place, plus 1-2 social events per month .

3. Senior U.S.Y. - - 9th-12th grade; meets 1-2 Saturday nights and Sunday afternoons per month; One Youth Department lounge per month; elected  board help to guide chapter toward growth in both membership and programming.  Consider being a committee chair or board member.  You can help us to create a program that is worthwhile and offers you exactly what you want!

Beth El USY & Kadimah is part of Far West Region USY.  Far West host activities every 4-6 weeks for youth around the region.  Retreats (Kinnusim), Shabbatons, and dance rule the regional calendar.  Our region is made up of Southern California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, New Mexico, and Hawaii.  Make and visit friends from all over the southwest!
