What is USY and Kadima?
USY stands for United Syngaogue Youth, which is the youth movement of Conservative Judaism. On the International level, USY has over 20,000 members in grades 7-12. These members are divided into seventeen regions. Our region is Far West. Each Region is made up of local syngogues and in Far West there are over 40 chapters with approximately 2,000 USYers. TRZ USY is a chapter in Far West Region. KADIMA is the same as USY except that the programming is geared to those in grades 4-6.

What Does USY Do?
USY sponsors many types of programs which include teen tours to Israel and Eatern Europe, as well as USY on Wheels, which is a six week bus tour around the United States and International Convention. Far West Region sponsors Leadership Weekends, Kinnusim, Dances, Far West on Wheels a three-week bus tour, and Regional Convention. TRZ USY sponsors, social, educational, social action, and religious programming on a monthly basis and strives to instill a sense of teamwork and a community.
