![]() ![]() Temple Beth Sholom’s focus is on helping students to develop an understanding and appreciation of Jewish values and ethics, lifestyle practices, and holidays and traditions, thereby enabling them to incorporate these mitzvot into their lives. Learning to read and speak "prayer" Hebrew and the study of Jewish history and Torah will be central aspects to the curriculum. Goals for Torah study include the significance of the Torah in Judaism, its stories moral, messages and implications for daily living. Temple Beth Sholom has classes on Sundays from 10am to 12:30 pm and Wednesdays from 4:30 to 6:00 pm. We provide personalized attention with small class sizes. Our excellent teachers are well trained to help make learning about Jewish heritage enjoyable and exciting. Our classes accommodate assorted age groups and knowledge and experience levels. Each child has the opportunity to develop and learn at his or her own pace. Amira Sample is our Senior Teacher. She has been teaching and investing in the moral up bringing of children for 16 years. She teaches basic conversational Hebrew to students ages 9-14. She also teaches about Jewish holidays and celebrations and enriches in her students a love for Israel. Amira gives Bar and Bat - Mitzvah lessons and walks the children through their final stages of preparation with the utmost patience and understanding. She also teaches our ADULT Hebrew classes and is always looking for new students. Judy Goren teaches our students who are ages 5-8. She teaches about holidays, rituals, prayers, and blessings. Judy also teaches Torah and Hebrew reading and writing skills and uses arts and crafts and games designed to reinforce the weekly lesson plan. Judy has been a Jewish educator for many years with ample experience in classroom management and curriculum development. She also tutors students for their Bar or Bat – Mitzvah. She believes in nurturing each child and motivating them to develop and grow in a caring environment. We welcome prospective students and parents to come and visit us. Class Hours:
