Ma Tovu

It is the prayer said upon entering a sanctuary.

Glory.  Before my Maker

V'Echra'ah, evreichah lifnei

Will I bow in worship,

Hashem osee.  Va'ani

Bending the knee.  I

T'filati l'cha Hashem et ratzon.

Pray that this be an acceptable time for my

Eloheem b'rov chasdecha

 Prayer.  O God, Your love is great;
Aneinee be'emet yisheichah. Answer me with Your true deliverance.

So as the High Holidays approach in a little over a month, we will all be entering sanctuaries quite often.  It is important that we be thankful we have a place to pray.  In Pinwheel, we have places like Shechter that give us a sanctuary away from home.  We should be thankful for places like Shechter and I personally hope you all feel like you have a warn and welcoming community at you shuls in you own cities.  Ma Tovu is also a prayer before prayers.  It warns God that we will be praying later in p'sukei d'zimra and shacharit and hopes that the timing of prayer is okay.
