Seattle Nimratz!
Age:
17 (Birthday: March 18th)
Favorite Convention So Far:
International Convention 2004 in Chicago.
With Regional Convention 2005 in Seattle
running a close second.
Favorite USY Moment So Far:
I envision three that all tie for first —
putting on Dead Sea mud with Jenny,
winning chapter of the year at Regional
Convention 2005, and opening ceremonies of
International Convention 2004. After that
highlights include singing with Maddy at
the Encampment ’04 talent show, spooning,
long talks with Rachel and Melissa, candy
wrestling, watching Tamara give her
slideshow on Poland/Israel Pilgrimage at
Kinnus ’03 and knowing that would be me
someday.
Favorite Quotes:
"The hardest to learn was the least
complicated."
-- Emily Saliers (Indigo Girls)
"If you aim for the stars, you'll hit the treetops.
If you aim for the treetops, you'll hit the fence."
-- Unknown
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful,
committed citizens can change the world; indeed,
it's the only thing that ever has."
-- Margaret Mead
"The future belongs to those who believe in the
beauty of their dreams."
-- Eleanor Roosevelt
Been to Israel?
USY Poland/Israel Pilgrimage Group 4 ’05!
It was honestly one of the most fantastic
things I have ever done. I fell in love
with Israel and 43 wonderful kids and
literally had the time of my life.
Extra-Curricular
Activities:
Singing in the Northwest Girlchoir, acting, watching
movies, playing ultimate Frisbee (except
that I’m pretty bad), traveling, dancing,
karaoke, learning how to do cartwheels,
reading excellent books (I highly
recommend Slaughterhouse 5 and
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince),
tanning in the occasional Seattle sun,
chillin’ on the beach, wandering around
big cities, looking at old photos, calling
USY friends, debating hot political
topics, and more than anything else—USY.
Anything you want to say
about USY:
I LOVE USY! USY has absolutely
changed my life, and I owe so much of my
identity and my happiness to the people I
have met and the things I have experienced
because of my involvement.
