WORD OF THE WEEK #8

Date:

Subject:

[pinwheelers] A few WORDS of knowledge

Hey Pinwheel!

Geshem.  If you've been living in Seattle for the past 26 days that's all you've been seeing!  Geshem. Geshem means rain.  It is something we pray for in a lot of our prayers and then when it comes we want it to go away after only three weeks!  We then start to pray for the shemesh, sun. We pray for those sunny days of summer where you can go for a walk outside and not come back in drenched in geshem.  Of course, if you live in Spokane, all you ever see is sheleg, snow.  And they don't ever get any school off!  Life is so unfair for those Adir kids...

I hope you learned a little about the weather!
