PURPOSE

B'nai Shalom is a contemporary conservative synagogue serving the community of West Orange and surrounding communities. As a traditional and an egalitarian congregation, we strive to both fulfill the spiritual needs of our members and to inspire a growing knowledge, understanding and practice of living Judaism.  Click here to read more about B'nai Shalom - a home for your family.

Come spend a Shabbat with us.  We have morning and evening services daily.

Note: Daily morning service, Shacharit, is at 7:00 AM and evening,  Mariv, service is at 8:00 PM.  Sunday morning Shacharit is at 9:00 AM. Shabbat and Yom Tov morning services start at 9:00 AM.  For Kabalat Shabbat and Mincha check the Hayenu newsletter.

Friday night services will be at 6:00 pm this winter.


Our RABBI
Rabbi Asekoff, the spiritual leader of B'nai Shalom for over 30 years, has instilled our Shul with a warm and inviting family spirit, a steadfast love of Israel, and a deep commitment to Jewish life and learning. Click here to view the Rabbi's page.

Steve Colten, President of B'nai Shalom, extends a warm welcome and his vision of the Shul.


PROGRAMMING
B'nai Shalom offers a complete range of educational, religious, and social programs for our members and the community. We offer adult education programs, social events, a men's club and sisterhood, four youth groups for various aged children and a senior's group. JOINING US
B'nai Shalom offers a number of membership plans for families with and without children, for singles and for seniors. Here is membership information, including a membership application.
