YOUTH GROUPS AT NEVE SHALOM

Neve Shalom's acclaimed informal youth group program is open to all Jewish youngsters in the area, regardless of synagogue affiliation. The annual cost of membership in any one of these three groups in $25.00 for Neve Shalom members and $50.00 for non-members. (Members of Temple Beth El pay member rates for Kadima.)

U.S.Y.

Kadima

Hanoar

U.S.Y. (United Synagogue Youth)

Teenagers from 14 to 17 may join USY. Meetings are Mondays from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. In addition to our USY basketball team, activities include dances, ice skating, sports nights, visits to the Jewish Museum, and visits to hospital pediatric units. During the year, the group participates in state and national USY conventions.

The U.S.Y. advisor are the Mandells.


Kadima

Our Kadima youth group, for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders, meets on alternate Sundays from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Activities include gym night, movie night, roller skating, and craft projects. There are regional Kadima weekends, dances, and a week-long encampment in August.

Our Kadima advisors are David and Andrea Kozody.


Hanoar

Children in 4th or 5th grade may join Hanoar. Meetings are twice each month on Wednesdays from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Activities such as volleyball, mini golf, movie nights, and cooking and baking projects are planned.
