Congregation B’nai Israel is a warm and welcoming progressive Conservative congregation. We emphasize a hands-on approach to Judaism by encouraging each adult and child to explore Judaism to find what is meaningful; to incorporate it into daily life; and, to challenge oneself through study. The congregation’s services and approach to religious education are egalitarian, with emphasis on explanation and participation. In our brief eight years of offering adult education, Sabbath and holiday services, personalized learning, and meaningful social action projects, we have welcomed many dual faith families who find attractive our blend of openness to modern insights and our adherence to the ethical and prayer traditions of Judaism. This is a synagogue in which you can seek your connection to God, to history, to Jewish Peoplehood, to social justice, or, to socializing and receive both the congregation’s and my support to do so.
