About Us
Overview: Spanning from the Pine Barrens of the Garden State (New Jersey) to the Horseshoe Curve in Altoona (Pennsylvania) and from the locomotives in Steamtown (Pennsylvania) to the Small Wonders in the First State (Delaware), Mid-Atlantic Region is proud to host 50 synagogues, more than 15 USY (United Synagogue Youth) chapters, and a handful of Koach (College Outreach) chapters. With over 15,000 affiliated Conservative Jews in our region, we are one of the largest regions in the Conservative Movement of the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism.
Leadership: Mid-Atlantic Region is led by Richard Fishbane, President and Lewis "Lew" Grafman, Executive Director.
Location: To better serve your needs, our offices are located in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania and Edison, New Jersey. Congregational lay leaders, congregants, and synagogue professionals are all welcome to call, email, or write us for assistance, ideas, and support. Like most Jewish organizations, we operate normal business hours Monday through Thursday, and close early on Friday in anticipation of Shabbat (the Sabbath).
