Temple
Israel is a small, warm, and friendly synagogue located in Riverhead,
New York.
We are a conservative Synagogue and are affiliated with the United Synagogue
of Conservative Judaism. Temple Israel prides itself on the equal
participation
of men and women in services, congregational leadership and all other
activities.
Everyone is encouraged to participate according to his or her ability. It is impossible to attend our services and not enjoy the warmth of our Temple family and sincerity of our worship. Our membership is drawn from Eastern Long Island, from Rocky Point and Coram to the west, to the North and South Forks to the east.
Temple Israel was built in 1945, in the Gothic Revival style. The Sanctuary
comfortably seats 140 people.
Please make an effort to join us. Your presence will enhance our worship
and will be much appreciated by your fellow congregants.
