Welcome to the home page of the Park Slope Jewish Center - an egalitarian Conservative Jewish congregation in Brooklyn, NY .

Finding a place in a synagogue can be exhilarating or it can be daunting; we hope you will visit the Park Slope Jewish Center, explore its resources, and enjoy the spiritual life and social world of the shul.

As a Jewish community, PSJC provides a place to share in Jewish worship, study, and thought; celebrate the joyous times of life; mourn a beloved relative; make lasting friendships; and educate our children in Jewish observance and culture.

We are an egalitarian Conservative congregation, actively welcoming Jews of all ages, backgrounds, affiliations, family structures, and sexual orientations. This web site describes some of the programs and activities at PSJC. We invite you to become part of our vibrant, energetic, and diverse community.

At PSJC, five elements characterize our congregational life:

"Everyone is entitled to a voice, yet no opinions go unscrutinized. The community is engaged in open dialogue. There are new songs, new words, new challenges, and new voices. Here, religion refuses to be doctrine."
