Packing Day --- 2006-05-28

So it is packing day. Its 10 am and the rest of the day I am packing the last 9 months into three suitcases, and it is weird. My last open Shabbat was spent with 14 girls on the beach in Tel Aviv, and I could not have asked for it to be better. We stayed at Hayarkon again, mainly because it is cheap, and right next to the beach. Friday we took a train there, got lunch at Yovata, and then walked around a bit. At about 6 we went to the beach and played in the water for a bit and then went back to get ready for dinner. We had a picnic on the beach and watched the sunset. The next morning we woke up and headed out to the beach and just relaxed all day. At night we went out for dinner and then took a bus back to BS.

Passover, Tiyul and More --- 2006-05-16

Pesach!! So on Wed morning Aimee, Dina, Amy and I got in a cab to go the bus station and when we got there Sarah, Sheri, Adir, Molly and her friend were there also so we just took a Sherut there. Once in Jtown, we Aimee, Dina and I went to Nahum’s. We watched Euro trip and then it was time to get ready for Shul. Then we went to have Seder at Nahum’s parents house. As we sat down to start and we sang the Order of the Seder song, it hit me really hard that for the first time in my life I was not with my family for Seder. The Seder was nice and only 5 hours long! Nativ is a challenging academic year program dedicated to creating and inspiring the Conservative Jewish leaders of tomorrow. Nativ, which means path in Hebrew, provides the unique opportunity to explore new directions along the journey to becoming a Jewish adult. From September to June, Nativ participants engage themselves in the rich and diverse society of Israel, exploring the land and enjoying a fulfilling Conservative Jewish lifestyle, which includes university or yeshiva studies, and innovative leadership training.
