Rabbi Rabinowich comes to the Bellmore Jewish Center with extensive training, knowledge, and expertise in Torah, Bible, Talmud, Judaic Studies, and History of the Jewish people. His special interest is in Chassidic literature. The Rabbi is a traditional clergyman who personally observes the Sabbath, Kashruth (Kosher), and all the Jewish holidays. Rabbi Rabinowich earned a Masters Degree in Jewish Philosophy at Yeshiva University and he is currently committed to complete a Ph.D. program at the school in the immediate future. The Rabbi also studied Chazanut from the Belz School of Jewish Music at Yeshiva University for many years. |

Rabbi Rabinowich started his Rabbinical Ordination with Rabbi Pinchas Hirschprung, Chief Rabbi of Montreal (1995), and he completed his internship at the Chief Rabbinical Court of Jerusalem, Israel in the Spring, 2000. In addition to his studies for Dayanut (Rabbinical Judicial Ordination), Rabbi Rabinowich also finished an Advanced Rabbinical Ordination (Smicha), with the Yeshiva Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary at Yeshiva University in 2002. At the same time, Rabbi Rabinowich was a member of the Israel Henry Beren Institute Of Higher Talmudic Studies at RIETS. He has successfully served in several Scholar-in-Residence programs in Israel, and throughout North America. His most recent assignment was at a Rosedale Jewish Center where he served as the pulpit Rabbi. Rabbi Rabinowich has taught Judaic Studies, Talmud, Jewish Law, History, and Philosophy at several distinguished educational institutions, Yeshivas, and Summer Camps since 1991. The Rabbi has performed at many leading congregations and hotels in the tri-state area for various holidays and events. Rabbi Rabinowich is well-versed in English, Hebrew, and Yiddish, and has published several books, essays, and articles on a variety of Jewish topics.
Rabbi Rabinowich is the full time spiritual leader of the congregation. Rabbi Rabinowich also works with our Hebrew School Principal to implement the United Synagogue curriculum program, and to work with the teachers in educating the students about the Jewish holidays and learning the Hebrew language. He is blessed with three children, ages 4 ½ , 3, and 22 months old. |
