Nanie’s Pareve Noodle Kugel

Ingredients:

1 package medium noodles (12 oz)

4 eggs

1 stick of margarine

1 can crushed pineapple in its own juice (20 oz)

1 tsp salt

½ cup brown sugar

1 cup corn flakes

Cook noodles and drain with cold water. Combine noodles, eggs, pineapples and salt in a bowl, and dot ½ stick of margarine through the noodles. Put in a greased 9 by 12 pan.

Combine the brown sugar, corn flakes, and ½ stick melted margarine in a bowl. Sprinkles the mixture across the top of the noodle mixture.

Cook the noodle mixture with the topping for one hour at 350 degrees.

Leave the finished kugel in the fridge overnight, and slice into squares the next day. Makes around 25 squares, depending on how large the squares. The kugel can be heated in the microwave or oven.

The recipe can also be cut in half: place half the ingredients in an 8x8 pan and cook for 30 minutes.
