KOACH Kallah 2003

Ever want to meet some of the people who write these articles that you read every month?

Did you go on a KOACH Birthright trip and want an opportunity to reconnect with people on your trip?

Do you wonder what it would be like to see the people who send emails out to the KOACH list serve?

WELL WISH NO MORE!

This February students from across the US and Canada will come together for an incredible weekend at the University of Maryland, College Park for the annual KOACH Kallah. A weekend of study, prayer, friendship and fun!

Both of us first came to the Kallah for different reasons:

For me (Alicia) I first went to the 2001 Kallah (U Penn) because I wanted a chance to reunite with people that I had traveled with on KOACH Birthright Israel . It was fantastic to see many of those friends again, but I also loved meeting Jewish students from across the country. Last year I had the opportunity to help on the planning committee for the 2002 Kallah at Northwestern. Being a part of making the weekend come together made the entire Kallah experience all the more rewarding for me. Once again I was able to reconnect with friends from my Birthright trip, and make new friends. When I was asked this fall to be a co-chair for the Kallah I was thrilled. I can’t wait to get to this years Kallah!

And for me (Elise) I had hopes and dreams all of my life to go to Israel and learned about the Koach Birthright Israel trip (winter 2001). It was a very dangerous time in Israel , but I went against my parent’s wishes and went anyway. So did 14 other people, and we had the best time of our lives. I went to the 2002 Kallah to reunite with my Israel trip, and had the greatest time. I met so many new people from all over the country and learned so much from wonderful speakers and leader of the Jewish community. I am very excited to be taking on the role of the Kallah co-chair this year and hope to be meeting a lot of you!!

We know that everyone else on the planning committee and the staff is as excited as we are for this Kallah. Now what we really need is YOU! The more people we have join us in February, the more successful, spiritual, and fun the weekend will be. The students and staff that have been working all fall have put time and energy into making this years Kallah the best ever, and we want you to be a part of that!

Please feel free to email either of us if you have any questions!!!

See you in February!
