Hi, I'm David, I'm a Leo, 6'1”…oops, sorry wrong bio.
Anyway, I have been around OZS for most of my 30 years. After graduating from Penn 8 years ago I came back and joined the Lexington Fire Department, where I continue to work as a Lieutenant firefighter/paramedic.
My commitment to the Synagogue revolves mostly around the community aspect of Judaism. In the past I have worked with the youth group, mentored in a local school, and have been and remain a faithful member of the Wizards (the Synagogue softball team).
P.S. I like long walks on the golf course.

I've been involved with or a member of OZS since 1958, attending Sunday and Hebrew school there. I was Bar Mitzva'd at Joe Bolognas.(in the bar). I'm married to Tina Trent, am 44 years old, and am President/owner of QED, Inc., where we design and manufacture surgical and dental lighting equipment.
I've been a member of Chevra Kaddisha for 2 years. I'm actively involved in getting computers connected to the OZS network so teachers and students can find Bar/Bat Mitzvah portions, and general info on anything. I would love to help the synagogue stay current while embracing our past.
I arrived here with my family nearly 12 years ago, having happily belonged to OZS for 10+ years now. I am a licensed clinical social worker in private practice.
I have just finished a 2-year term on the board, my second time serving. I am on the Education Committee, and have served on Social Action and Membership. Adam has been bar mitzvahed in the synagogue and Ariel will celebrate her bat mitzvah next year. I love the "hamish" feel of OZS and am committed to helping it flourish and continue to be a welcoming community to all its members.
Stanley Isenstein
I have been living in Lexington since 1976. I am President of Interplex Plastics, a custom injection molder, since 1980. I am a widower with four children and four grandchildren. Born in Boston, I grew up in New Hampshire. I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of New Hampshire, and graduate studies at Columbia University. I have had a strong identification with Zionism and the State of Israel since 1946.
Art Shechet
I have been a member of OZS for 13 years. I currently serve on the Board of Trustees, and am slated to become co-chair of the Religious Committee. I have also served on the Board of Directors of the Central Kentucky Jewish Federation. I've lived in Lexington for over twenty years. I am a clinical psychologist by training and am employed as Vice President for Clinical Services by the Bluegrass Regional Mental Health- Mental Retardation Board, Inc. I'm married to Marilyn Robie and we have two children, Ben and Ellie.
