Beshalach: February 10th/11th, 2006
Shabbat Shalom Hanefesh!!! I hope you’ve all had a wonderful week and have recuperated fully from the lack of sleep had at the AMAZING Mid-Winter Kinnus! Yasher Koach again to the co-chairs for an incredible convention! As many of you know, I LOVE to sing. So naturally, this Shabbat is a particular favorite of mine. Also, it is time to get excited because on Monday February 13th, Jews around the world will be celebrating Tu B’Shvat! Tu B’Shvat is the New Year of the Trees. It is customary to eat fruit of the seven species (barley, dates, figs, grapes, pomegranates, olives, and wheat) and to plant trees. If you would like to have a tree planted in Looking for some interesting Tu B’Shvat recipes? http://www.jewishfood-list.com/recipes/tu_bshevat/&tu_bshevat_index.html Candle lighting for Friday February 10th is at Havdallah on Saturday February 11th is at This week’s parsha is Parashat Beshalach Shabbat Shalom Hanefesh!!
