General Assembly of Kehillot
The General Assembly of Kehillot (“GA”) provides direct representation for each kehilla in the governance of USCJ. The responsibilities of the GA include the election of USCJ’s officers and directors, the approval of dues rates and assessments, consideration of resolutions on matter of interest to the General Assembly of Kehillot, discussions about issues of global Jewish concern, and more.
The next meeting of the General Assembly of Kehillot will be held on March 9, 2014, in New York City.
The purpose of the meeting, and the sole agenda item, is to consider and vote on a recommendation of the Board of Directors to adopt a revised dues structure for the United Synagogue based on 2.25% of a kehilla’s operating revenue. This will continue the dues discussion we had at the October, 2013 meeting.
