Join Us For Tzohar Orlando
Begin United Synagogue’s 2007 international biennial convention by helping to repair the world. Join us for Tzohar Orlando.
We will meet at the site of our biennial convention, the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort, on Tuesday, November 27, at 7:30 pm for an introduction and orientation session. The next morning, we’ll rise early for tefillot and breakfast, then board vans for the work sites. You can choose from two different social-action opportunities, Give Kids the World or the Gleaning Project.
When we have finished our projects, we will go to the Southwest Orlando Jewish Congregation for dinner and tefillot, then return to the hotel.
It costs $50 to participate in Tzohar Orlando. This includes transportation from the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort to the project sites and back to the resort, as well as boxed lunches on Wednesday and Thursday and dinner on Wednesday. Breakfast both days is on your own.
We urge participants to stay at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort, which will be the program’s home base. Rooms are available at the convention rate of $159 plus tax per room per night.
If you would like us to guarantee a room at Rosen Shingle Creek for the first night, Tuesday, November 27, you may add $159 to the $50 per person cost of the program, or provide the credit card information on the registration form. Unless you incur a penalty for late cancellation, your payment is refundable. Your credit card will not be charged; you will present it at the hotel when you register. If you are traveling alone, staying at the Rosen Shingle Creek, and would like to share the room expenses, we will try to match you up with a same-gender roommate.
