Charlie Savenor lives in New York City with his wife, Julie Walpert, and
their two boys, Joseph and Benjamin. A father for 7 years and counting,
he enjoys the daily endeavor of creating a home and life of balance,
meaning and hope.
the day, he serves as the Director of Kehilla Enrichment for the United Synagogue of Conservative
Judaism. Rabbi Savenor also leads USCJ's Family Israel Experience.
A recipient of Rabbinical Ordination and a Masters Degree in
Judaica from the Jewish Theological Seminary, Rabbi Savenor graduated Summa Cum Laude from Brandeis University.
he earned his Masters of Education from Teachers College at Columbia
University. Before working for METNY, he worked as a congregational
rabbi for five years at the historic Anshe Emet Synagogue in Chicago and
seven years as the Associate Dean and Director of Admissions of The
Rabbinical School of The Jewish Theological Seminary.

An award winning speaker, Rabbi Savenor loves the Boston Red Sox, writing, running – ok, jogging – and
spending time with his family – not necessarily in that order.

Charlie loves working with families and teens, guiding them to enhance
their lives through a forward-looking positive vision, authentic
expressions of faith and relationships based on trust.
