Conservative Minyan Survey

We hope this will be a valuable resource to you, whether you are looking for new ideas or in the midst of the college selection process.

When the results are compiled, you'll be able to search the survey by campus or you can find out which campuses have answered questions in a particular way.

Enjoy your research and don’t hesitate to contact a campus directly if you have questions.

If you have comments on the survey, or have ideas for questions we haven’t asked, send your feedback to Rabbi Elyse Winick: winick@uscj.org.

Do you have a Conservative minyan on campus?

When and how frequently does it meet?

Is it egalitarian (ie, men and women have the same rights and responsibilities)?

Who leads the service (ie, students, Hillel staff, community members, local clergy, etc)?

What siddur (prayerbook) does the minyan use?

Does the minyan modify the liturgy in any way? (if yes, please give examples!)

What Humash (Bible) does the minyan use?

Does the minyan conduct any programs in addition to services?

If so, please describe

What gives your minyan its unique character?

Do you do anything special or provide any incentives to attract people to attend (e.g., breakfast, adjusted start time, etc)?

Has your minyan taken advantage of any KOACH resources? If so, which ones?

How would you like your minyan to evolve and grow in the future?
