This recipe is in memory of my Grandmother Mollie Slusky. Grandma Mollie was a phenomenal cook, among many other things. She was an inspiration to all those who knew her. She lived her life in Winnipeg, Manitoba as an active member and President of Hadassah. She was also one of the first women there to receive a bachelor’s degree. She was a teacher, primarily for 5th grade students, who still talk about her to this day. She would often make this banana bread so that when guests came over, they would have something delicious to eat. She truly exemplified the Jewish obligation of Hakhnasat Orhim or hospitality.
