But here at the University of Delaware, KOACH is really putting itself on the map. As I type, KOACH at the University of Delaware is being approved as its very own, official student group on campus. We are very excited to see how our new status can enhance our programming and our entire organization for the Spring Semester.

We couldn't have made it to this point without an outstanding Fall Semester. With weekly Friday night services, as well as more than 15 other events in three months, we have had a huge Conservative presence in our campus Jewish community. Highlights from the first semester included...

  •  a Fun-Fair at a local children's hospital
  •  an outstanding KOACH Shabbat with rabbinical student Jamie Leiter, including a bibliodrama program
  •  a concert featuring Jewish musicians from around campus which raised money for tzedakah
  •  weekly Shabbat services and dinner
  •  trips to Philadelphia and Baltimore
  •  several learning programs, on topics such as Religion and Pluralism in Israel, The Women of the Bible, and Jewish Ghost Stories
  • and more!!!

Now, with a brand new KOACH Board of extremely motivated and creative individuals, we move into Spring Semester 2005, and we can't wait to see what we can accomplish. This Blue Hen (UD mascot mascot, feel free to laugh) is ready to take flight.
