Welcome Alisha Deluty! KOC’s New Assistant Editor
Hi! My name is Alisha Deluty, and I am KOC’s new Assistant Editor. I am a sophomore in the joint program between Columbia University and the Jewish Theological Seminary. A native of Queens, New York, I am likely to major in Comparative Literature and Society at Columbia and in Bible at JTS. I am interested in linguistics and learning foreign languages. I am proficient in Hebrew, French, and Spanish, and will begin Arabic this year. I enjoy working with young children and have mentored elementary school students and assisted in nursery school summer camps. In addition, I chant Torah and Haftarah at my synagogue and at the Columbia Hillel. I love traveling and participated in the KOACH Winter 2007 Taglit birthright-israel trip. To relax, I design colorful paper collages and read historical novels. I look forward to hearing from you and can be reached at KOCAsstEditor@koach.org. [Posted 08/14/07]
