International KOACH ShabbatActing Justly: Preserving Human Dignity in Undignified TimesNovember 6-7, 2009For the past five years Conservative students throughout North America have marked International KOACH Shabbat with a weekend of study and celebration. In 2008 nearly 4000 students on 82 campuses joined together to participate in Shabbat services, schmooze with friends and learn together. Join campuses across North America this November to learn about Preserving Human Dignity in Undignified Times. KOACH will provide text materials for you to utilize during your Shabbat learning sessions and a special Shabbat treat. Would you like to do more? If your campus can cover room and board, we may be able to send you a rabbinical student from the Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies or the Jewish Theological Seminary Rabbinical School. Please indicate your interest in this possibility on the registration form! Register for KOACH Shabbat November 6-7, 2009 by clicking on the appropriate link below. Andrew Woods at the College of Charleston commented: The students who attended will remember it for a long time. The Torah study and zemirot were unusually provocative and special. Brian Cohen at the University of Virginia said: KOACH Shabbat is a wonderful experience for University students. It gives the community a chance to learn from individuals with incredible passion for Judaism and the Jewish people.
