Winter Break Travel and Study Opportunities Urban Mitzvah Corps Sunday, Jan. 2 - Sunday, Jan. 9, 2005 This winter break, don't just sit there...DO SOMETHING! Join the Urban Mitzvah Corps, sponsored by the Jewish Council on Urban Affairs, in partnership with KOACH, Kesher and Hillels of Illinois. Do hands-on social justice work with a community organization in Chicago, learn more about Judaism and social justice, learn ways to do more social justice on campus, make new friends, explore Chicago and enjoy a joyous and fun-filled Shabbat. Registration: $100 (includes food, housing, program and closing shabbaton). Limited travel scholarships may be available. The TI Sharon Winter Kollel Jan. 4 - Jan. 13, 2005 Bring your thirst for Jewish learning to the Sharon Winter Kollel, a traditional egalitarian growth opportunity for college students looking to immerse themselves in Jewish text and tradition. The Kollel is based at Temple Israel of Sharon, MA, a spiritually energized Conservative community just south of Boston. The Sharon Winter Kollel is a 9-day learning program for Jewish women and men looking to continue their spiritual journeys through text-study and Jewish living.
