International Biennial Convention
Once every two years, the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism invites members of United Synagogue-affiliated congregations to meet for serious discussion, learning, and debate, for prayer, for spirituality, for fellowship, and for friendship, as together we explore some of the critical issues we face as a movement, and as a people.
More than 700 people, including lay leaders, rabbis, cantors, educators, scholars, other synagogue professionals, and synagogue members, took part in United Synagogue's 2005 international biennial convention in Boston.
At each convention, leaders engage in the profound task of setting the Conservative movement's agenda and priorities for the next two years and beyond.
Highlights of 2005 convention converage include:
- DVDs of some of the talks at the convention
- The Daily Convention Reporter on some of each day's newsworthy events
- Resolutions passed by the social action and public policy committees
- Solomon Schechter School Awards for Synagogue Excellence
- A wide range of vendors
