Donate & Help Us Grow!

In the heart of Jerusalem, our Center is being enlarged and improved, so that our children and congregational groups and families from North America can gather to live and learn in a quality Conservative Jewish environment. The Shirley and Jacob Fuchsberg Jerusalem Center of the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism is centrally located on Agron Street, between the Knesset complex on the west and the Old City on the east, with the King David Hotel to the south and Ben Yehuda Street to the north.

Even today, the present Center is the heart of United Synagogue's programs in Israel. It is the headquarters for hundreds of USYers on Israel Pilgrimage, USY High, and NATIV, as well as for countless other United Synagogue visitors and Jerusalemites. The expanded Center will serve an even greater population, including Ramah and Solomon Schechter Day School Israel Programs, and regional and congregational tours and missions. In addition, the Conservative Yeshiva's facility will be greatly improved and made more accessible to prospective students.

Put Your Name Where Your Heart Is

Since the Center is in the heart of Jerusalem and is the heart of United Synagogue in Israel, it makes sense to put your name where your heart is! Over 300 naming opportunities are available, from bookshelves in the library ($5,000) to the major gifts below ($2.5 million+).

The Campus

Dressed fully in Jerusalem stone and topped with a dramatic roof of red tile, The Campus will be a distinctive showpiece in the capital of the modern State of Israel. This beautiful campus is named The Shirley and Jacob Fuchsberg Jerusalem Center of the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism, thanks to a $5 million gift.

The Long Term Residence Building (Building A) – 2 Agron Street

The Long Term Residence Building has been recently renovated into a top quality residential facility. United Synagogue Youth participants and guests to The Fuchsberg Jerusalem Center will enjoy the modern amenities and three star quality rooms. Each of the 18 air conditioned rooms will have its own bathroom and connections for the phone, Internet and television, making it a comfortable home for our youth. This new structure can reflect the dedication of you and your family for a gift of $3 million.

The Religious Center – 4 Agron Street

The Religious Center, the spiritual fiber of The Fuchsberg Jerusalem Center, houses the synagogue of the Moreshet Yisrael Congregation. This leading Masorti synagogue will feature a majestically crafted Aron Kodesh, and a newly fashioned Bima. Included in this magnificent complex will also be the main synagogue offices and the Rabbi’s Study. This renovated facility can bear your name for a gift of $2.5 million.

The United Synagogue Conservative Yeshiva – 10 Agron Street

The United Synagogue Conservative Yeshiva is the only co-educational yeshiva that teaches Jewish texts from a Conservative perspective. Hundreds of Jews from around the world come to the Yeshiva to learn about Jewish texts and to study in this egalitarian setting. The survival of the Jewish people depends on these yeshiva students to pass on the Jewish legacy to future generations. You can name and endow Conservative Yeshiva with a gift of $3 million.

Other Opportunities

Hundreds of other naming opportunities are available for gifts in a wide variety of ranges. Please feel free to inquire about all possibilities. For further information, contact Ronald Friedman, Director of Campaign Development and Marketing, 212-533-7800 ext. 2522 or email friedman@uscj.org.
