Alim: Seeding, Starting, and Nurturing New Congregations

The Alim initiative was created to help identify areas with growing Jewish communities and to assist in seeding and nurturing new Conservative congregations. United Synagogue’s Alim program assists synagogues that are up to five years old in various ways. The congregations benefit from the experience and guidance they get from the movement.

Our grants program is available to help new communities and congregations by providing financial assistance for materials and small projects, outreach, programming, and staff.

If you are interested in developing a new Conservative congregation or if our expertise can help your new congregation grow, please call Faye Gingold at 646-519-9258 or email her at gingold@uscj.org.
